Byeongsan Seowon
Embrace nature into architecture
The Byeongsan Seowon was sitting on a cliff overlooking the Nakdong River, facing the open Byeongsan Mountain. Built in honour of the middle Joseon Dynasty university student Seo Ae Ryu Seong Ryong, it is characterized by the embrace of pristine nature in its architecture without a single ornate decoration. Along with Dosan Seowon, it was listed as UNESCO's “Seowon in Korea” in 2019.
Mandalou
It is a symbol of Byeongsan Seowon and a decisive space that makes this place the 'most beautiful vow'. Going up to Mandae-roo and facing the Byeongsan and Nakdonggang directly is the highlight of Byeongsan Seowon viewing — The sunset from Mandae-roo at sunset is especially beautiful, so I recommend visiting in the late afternoon.
Entrance Hall and Gwangyeongji
It is a lecture hall of the nuggets, the entrance hall of the main building of the vow, and the pond area named after the poem of the runner, "A small pond is like a mirror, and the sky light and the clouds play together." It's like a comma to wash your heart away.
